Don’t be Offended by Your Authority Figures

Offense

                During
a business meeting, my elder, my coach and my guide called me out and put me
back in order, and my flesh rose up, and I became offended. I apologize.
Firstly I apologize to my coach. He’s struggling to help a young brother who is
easily offended. Secondly, I apologize to God, for I have willingly let the
enemy use me to his delight, and he tried to steal my joy.

Like Paul in the book of Philipians, I pray for myself that
I substitute this offense with love, knowledge and understanding. Offense leads
to self-righteousness. This is what I and we do not want.

As you
pray, pray that you are not offended, neither by God or by man, and pray for me
likewise.
